1. Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) It has announced a revised structure with the aim of accelerating the process of rights issue. Effective from April 7, 2025, new guidelines ensure to fulfill the issue of rights within 23 working days. The structure includes revised deadline, automatic verification procedures, and amendment in the SEBI master circular, which are to streamline and enhance efficiency in capital markets. 2. HSBC Mutual fund On March 13, 2025, an effective BSE star has announced a change in the names of its investment plans on the MF platform. The naming aligns with strategic reorganization of HSBC to better reflect the funds of the fund. Changes are as follows:
- HSBC Managed Solutions India – Orthodox is now HSBC Income Plus Arbitraj Active Fof.
- HSBC Managed Solutions India – Development has been renamed HSBC aggressive hybrid active FOF.
- HSBC Managed Solutions India – Moderate is now HSBC Multi Asset Active Fof.
The aim of the new names is to provide more clarity on investment strategies ensuring easy transitions for investors. Existing investors will continue to benefit from schemes without any changes in the underlying investment strategies.
3. The Edelvis Asset Management Company (AMC) has introduced a new fund offer (NFO) for the Edelweiss Short Duration Growth Direct Plan. NFO, which has recently been opened, is ready to close on March 18, 2025. Funds are designed to provide investors an opportunity to invest in fixed income securities with focus on liquidity and risk-doubt returns.
